Anne Perrot is a general financial inspector. Prior to this, she joined MAPP, an economic consultancy firm, principally active in the field of competition. She was Vice President of the Conseil de la Concurrence (French competition council) then of the Autorité de la concurrence (French competition authority) from 2004 to 2012. She has participated in various groups of experts in the field of competition (e.g. Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy with the European Commission) and regulation with French regulators (Commission Champsaur (Champsaur commission), on the deregulations of telecoms, or the group of experts of the Commission de regulation de l’energie (commission for the regulation of energy)).
Before then she was a professor of economic sciences at the University of Paris I and at the école nationale de la statistique et d’administration économique (national school of statistics and economic administrations) (1991-2004), director of the Laboratoire d’Economie Industrielle (industrial economics laboratory) of the centre de recherche en economie et statistique (research center in economy and statistics). She has been published in numerous French and international reviews in the fields of the industrial economy and competition policy.
She teaches at the Paris School of Economics, the Brussels School of Competition, and Sciences Po Paris. She holds a Ph.D in mathematics, a Ph.D in economic sciences and is a university associate professor in economic sciences.
