27 May 2015 French Institutions and the digital revolution – Dinner at OEC

Sophie Vermeille and Mathieu Luinard, members of Droit & Croissance, and Anthony O’Sullivan (OECD) participated in a dinner organized by the Alumni Association of the London School of Economics on the topics of Institutions and digital revolution. They presented a paper entitled “The Law and Radical Innovations” published in partnership with Fondapol, based on an upcoming article. Various associations were also invited including the Harvard Club of France.

Although France is technologically close to the digital frontier, its institutions need to change to play the role of an economic facilitator. The lack of quality institutions limits economic growth. France has transitioned from a post WWII catch up economy into an economy which has reached the digital frontier. France needs to foster an economic environment which promotes innovation for all French companies.
